Hastings Winkle Club

PEOPLE often store treasures for their sentimental value but too often when they die the stories die with them.
These photographs were found by pensioner Brian Hunt when he was clearing out his mother's home in Hastings after her death but unfortunately the tales behind the faces and occasions are unknown.
They were sent in by friend Tom Chapman, of Broomgrove Road, who said: "We don't know anything about the photographs other than what was written on the back. But there are quite a few characters and some of them might recognise themselves or maybe family members will spot their relations. We would like to know who these people are and what the events were."
The two photographs look like they were held in the same place but Mr Hunt and Mr Chapman believe they were on different occasions and possibly something to do with The Winkle Club and possibly taken in the early 1930s.
If you recognise some of the faces or know where the dinners were held and what the special occasions were contact Richard Morris on 01424 856784.
