This photograph was sent in by Lawrence Pierce, from Cheltenham, who is trying to find out when the snapshot was taken and where.
One clue he has is the name G Pearson on the back of the picture postcard with the address 30 Vicarage Road, Hastings.
Another clue could lie in the posters on the wall behind the soldier.
Mr Pierce said: "I was hoping someone would be able to identify the newspapers and tell me where they were circulated. I think the newspapers are ???t News and Telegraph, The Weekly Times and Echo and The People including Saturday's news and sport and possibly The Mercury & ???? at the bottom.
"The date of the photograph is between 1911 and 1919, I believe. It may be that one of them was only in circulation for part of that period, which will help in dating it.
"I want to find out where the picture was taken. It looks like a place where there are stables as there is another horse in the background."
