Winning football team

A FORMER schoolboy footballer relived fond memories of his team's winning days.
When Arthur Puxty, 73, from Hollington, saw this old photograph in the Observer two weeks ago he recognised his team-mates.
He said: "That photograph must be one of the last at the Bourne before we moved up to Uplands. I was the skipper of the team and I played against many of them in local football."
According to Mr Puxty, pictured left to right at the back is the teacher Mr Wardle, Derek Hook, John Rook, Tony Taylor the goalie, Mickey Sadler, Leonard Larking and Billy Avery. At the front are Brian Baker, John Marley, Mr Puxty, Ken Dooley and Freddie Adams.
